Dr. Therese Hooft
DNP, APRN, MHS, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Hooft is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Idaho State University. Her extensive clinical experience is complemented by a background in teaching, policy research, advocacy, and global health initiatives. These experiences have helped shape her holistic perspective and strengthened her ability to consider each patient’s care within a broader social and cultural context.

Our Practice
Dr. Hooft’s practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, sound clinical judgment, and a genuine passion for patient education. Dr. Hooft believes that understanding mental health conditions and treatment options—including psychopharmacology—empowers patients to make informed and confident decisions about their care. As both a medical provider and psychotherapist, she takes a humanistic and collaborative approach, fostering a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. Her goal is to partner with each individual to help them achieve their optimal level of wholeness and well-being.
